The SUNY Oswego LGBTQIA+ Resouce Center was founded by a group of students and faculty who saw a great need on the SUNY Oswego campus for increased LGBT+ education, support, and policies.

Together, they began having monthly meetings, pushing forward for change on campus, in the residence halls, and in the curriculum across the majors and minors offered here at SUNY Oswego.

Today, these individuals continue to work towards full equality, organizing Safe Space training and doing their best to solidify a permant home for the Resouce Center here on campus.

Marian Holmes

Hello there! I'm Marian; I'm a senior Creative Writing and English double major with a minor in Gender Studies who enjoys bad puns, wearing converse, and making all of my bread products from scratch. Here on campus I stay busy as the president of the SUNY Oswego Pride Alliance,  the co-founder and current Public Relations officer for Cut the Craft, and by being a member of the Women's Center as well.  I've been working on the board of the SUNY Oswego LGBTQIA+ Center since its humble beginnings and I cannot wait to see what its future progress holds in store!

Carol Blake

Rachel Walerstein

One of the founders of the SUNY Oswego Resource Center, Rachel Walerstein now attends the University of Iowa where she studies English Literature, applying her backround in both queer and feminist theory, while teaching and snacking on BBQ potato chips in her spare time.

Devon Perkins

My name is Devon Perkins. I am studying Philosophy, Global Sustainability, and Peace and Conflict Studies here at SUNY Oswego. When I graduate I would like to go into the Peace Corps, and then hopefully find a job that works with environmental protection.

Nikolai Anderson

Hey! My name is Nikolai, you may call me Niko. I am majoring in adolescence education (concentration in history) with a minor in forensics science. I am a corny and pretty lame guy but I’m happy with that. I am planning on joining the Peace Corps as well as moving out of New York when I graduate.
